Jack Sklarski began his legal career as a litigation attorney representing insurers, corporations, and individuals in a variety of general liability defense matters. Since joining Novara Law in 2018, he focuses on representing Taft-Hartley multiemployer fringe benefit funds including health and welfare funds; defined benefit pension funds; defined contribution pension funds; 401(k) funds; and other ancillary fringe benefit funds. He regularly advises single and multiemployer employee benefit plans throughout the United States on all aspects of plan operation.
Jack is well-versed in drafting plan and trust documents and amendments, policies and procedures, SMMs, SBCs, and other participant notifications and communications. He represents clients to ensure compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Internal Revenue Code, Multiemployer Pension Reform Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), and all other relevant laws and regulations.
Jack has also litigated a substantial number of complex cases in both state and federal courts and frequently advises clients on litigation strategy and negotiation of disputed legal issues.
