Novara Law Obtains No-Cause Verdict in Macomb County Circuit Court

Novara Law Insurance Defense Partner Kaitlyn Cramer and Associate Sulvia Alsaigh recently obtained a no-cause verdict in Macomb County Circuit Court in one of the first civil jury trials in that court since the pandemic began last year.

In motion practice prior to the trial, $40,000 in bills were dismissed based on assignments obtained. The trial proceeded on the remaining $60,000 in exposure, including bills, replacement services, and wage loss. Despite Plaintiff having injections for an allegedly new neck injury and exacerbated back injury, the defense team was able to convince the jury that none of the claimed expenses were reasonable, necessary, or causally related to the accident in question.
